FAQ

What qualifications do we have?

If you are purchasing a new property, you do not have to attend the building and pest inspection. However, if you would like to attend you are more than welcome to do so, you will just need to get permission from the selling agent first. The selling agent has the right to refuse you to attend.

FAQ

Can I Attend the Building Inspection?

To ensure a building inspection goes smoothly, make sure you provide full access to the parts of the property the inspector will need to get to. If it’s for a pre-purchase inspection, the real estate agent will oversee ensuring the building inspector has access to the property. If you are the seller and still currently living in the house, you will need to provide this access.

FAQ

How to Prepare for a Building Inspection?

A building inspection should be completed before purchasing a house to avoid any unwanted surprises once you have moved in. The pre-purchase inspection should be conducted prior to putting an offer on the house; however, this is not always possible. Alternatively, the buyer can include a building inspection as a condition on their offer to purchase the property.
